This is amazing! This girl does an arabeseque on point on the guy's head! Swan Lake with acrobatic ballerinas, pretty cool. I think they're on some German late night show or something. I've no clue what the guy at the end is saying, but he looks like what Xeno Lovegood looks like in my head, lol!

:) !!Happy Birthday to Rell!! :)

Kay, I was just going to take this for the fun and not post it, but it was so on the mark (a bit scarily actually) that I think I should. Color Quiz taken from [profile] kimaginethis

you are lightgreen

Your dominant hue is green. You're logical and steadfast, focused on figuring life out and doing what makes sense. You value being trusted because you know you're taking the time to figure things out and everyone should just follow you.

Your saturation level is lower than average - You don't stress out over things and don't understand people who do. Finishing projects may sometimes be a challenge, but you schedule time as you see fit and the important things all happen in the end, even if not everyone sees your grand master plan.

Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.

"You value being trusted because you know you're taking the time to figure things out and everyone should just follow you." *facepalm*

I saw a new musical last night with a friend, it's called "Twice Upon a Time". Music and storyline were meh, nothing special, but it was strange because part of it was set in England, which meant lots of actors doing horrendously bad English accents but pfft, there were all these consistency problems. I mean you'd think if you had a play set partly in England you'd have someone from England read the dumb thing right? Well, I'm no expert but there were many mentions of things like lawyers, shopping malls, fresh-squeezed lemonade, peanut butter, and other things like that, which I'm pretty sure aren't around much in England. Anyway, it was not a good show, but I didn't have to pay so I'm not complaining :D

Also, I finally broke down and am actually watching all of the new Pride and Prejudice all the way through (hence the icon, which I agree with even more now!). The look of the casting is better, especially for Lizzie and Jane, but honestly Bingley is not a buffoon, Lizzie is not giggly, and Miss Bingley is not that pretty! I'm still going to watch the rest of it, but I had to rant slightly.

This was pretty cool. You have to spell everything right, which is my downfall, lol, but I don't think that 55 is terrible for my first try. Totally had a brain fart halfway through, but c'est la vie. Not all that practically useful, but anyway :) Reminded me of that Animaniacs song about the countries.

always with the memes

Two memes I stole from other people. I'm liking memes more and more, lol

So apparently I'm German and Mexican, I took the others out because I only had 1 or 2 on all of them. I don't get the "high technical standard" thing on the German one though??

and the cool year end meme

I don't know why the formatting is going crazy, but my computer is being spazzy so I'm not gonna try to fix it since I don't fancy having to try and retype all of this.

haven't posted anything in awhile...and cos is being all weird, so here's a meme I stole from mugglesrock! :D

1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4
'"We'll see it out!" I ardently echoed, giving her my hand to make it a vow.' Turn of the Screw by Henry James. Just started it, not far past page 18 so I don't know if it's any good or not

meme... )

and seeing as how the second one is freaking long, I'm just gonna answer a few that I liked :D

Memes make me feel like an idiot for some reason...probably because they make me think about things that I usually avoid, lol. Don't mind me being bleh--I'm sick.
Wow, what a sunny way to start a post! *pay no attention to the girl behind the curtain* onward and upward
Was tagged by rastaban, so I'm gonna go for it!

These are the top 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing's users (as of today). As usual, bold what you have read, italicise that you started but couldn't finish, and strike through what you couldn't stand. Add an *asterisk* to those you've read more than once. Underline those on your to-read list.

T-shirts, bookclubs, and vlog bros

T-shirts from busted tees and threadless ... I want the last 2...I'm sad that I can't wear t-shirts to work :grumble:

I'm trying to arrange a bookclub, because I feel like my head is turning to mush. I've never been in a bookclub before, though I have read several books about bookclubs weirdly enough. The Dante Club was amazing...though that wasn't a bookclub per se, just a bunch of guys who liked Dante and then were involved in murders in Dante-esque fashion. Sounds bad, but it was really very good. I'm terrible at summaries, maybe that's why I'm so terrible at blogging because it's basically summarizing your life. But, then again a lot more happens in the average novel than happens in my life on a regular basis. Except for the novel Main Street, which is horrifically bad and in which nothing happens.

I've heard the Kite Runner is very good. I wonder if that would make a good bookclub book?

After 16 hours of reading I finally finished. I haven't read anything online yet and I just feel the need to vent a bit...(spoilers !)

on an altogether unrelated note, I have a huge mosquito bite on the second knuckle of my right hand and it hurts and itches like madness! My hand is all swollen and red and *ow* :-(  that's all.

Ok, so I posted this as a comment then realized I shouldn't be a dork and I should just post it as an entry. So this is my first lj entry...yay!

GAH!! I don't know what to think about the movie. There was some really great bits, but I was let down on a few bits as well.
