Total number of books owned:
Did a rough count and I've got about 235 on my shelves here, I don't know whether to count things like journals, dictionaries, old textbooks, and yearbooks though... close enough.

Last book bought:
Phantastes by George MacDonald, great faerie tale book where the little stories inside the main story are even better than the primary plot.

Last book read:
Last one I finished was Villette by Charlotte Bronte. Took a while to get into but I was in love with it by the end. I'd never even heard of it before I read it, but it was really lovely.

Five books that mean a lot to you:
1.  Harry Potter.
Just because it was the catalyst to lots and lots of changes in my life.

2.  Ender's Game.
Similar to HP, but I'd never read any fantasy or sci-fi books before I read Ender. It was kind of an "Ah-ha" sort of book.

3. Till We Have Faces.
A very introspective sort of book that I want to read over and over.

4.  Pride and Prejudice.
Again, because it kind of represents changes and growing up to me, and it's a dang good book.

5.  Flowers for Algernon.
About intelligence and the mind, really intriguing, made me laugh and cry, and reminds me of school.

1. One book that changed your life?

Well, pretty much all the books I listed above, but I'd have to go with HP for literally changing the way I live my life.

2. One book you have read more than once?

Jane Eyre. I very rarely read books more than once but Jane Eyre's just so relaxing and certain.

3. One book you would want on a desert island?

uh...Robinson Crusoe. Maybe my big Shakespeare book, or something in another language so I could puzzle it out and learn the language by the time I was rescued, lol.

4. One book that made you laugh?

The Ladies of Grace Adieu. I liked it even better than Jonathan Strange which is also by Susanna Clarke, it's just really witty and fun.

5. One book that made you cry?

Um...Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime...and a lot of others, I cry a lot while reading, lol. I never cry at movies but I'm always blubbering over books.

6. One book you wish had been written?

I'm always having crazy dreams and writing down the "ideas" that come from them and then 3 days later I read them and they sound idiotic, lol.  For example, a couple days ago I had a dream about these people who needed light energy to survive. When the lights went off they weren't visible, and low light level made them translucent. If they didn't get enough light for a long period of time they started going mad and became what we know of as ghosts, and then eventually die by disappearing entirely. It was a really freaky dream because they were in my room, lol, but anyway. :p

7. One book you wish had never had been written?

Main Street. Roughing It. most everything by Charles Dickens...I can only pick one? *snore*

8. One book you are currently reading?

Body in the Bathhouse by Lindsey Davis. It's like a murder mystery set in ancient Rome, yea stop laughing, her stuff isn't prize winning but it keeps my attention and it's interesting.

9. One book you have been meaning to read?

The Idiot. I got it from bookmooch but still haven't read it.
